Get to Know Our Catalyst Pet Team: Jim Barsalou and his cat, Millie Kathryn

We’re excited to introduce you to another wonderful member of the Catalyst Pet team and the cat who inspires his work every day!

Meet Jim Barsalou, our Consumer Support Specialist, and his adorable calico cat, Millie Kathryn.

Jim joined Lignetics—Catalyst Pet’s parent company—about two years ago, and his role has grown increasingly busy! As our Consumer Support Specialist, Jim spends his days connecting directly with Catalyst Pet customers, especially our subscribers. Whether it’s answering litter questions, troubleshooting subscription issues, or providing expert advice, Jim is a true cat litter expert!

Jim moved from New Hampshire to Florida six years ago, where he and his husband Eric previously shared their home with three beloved calicos. The last passed somewhat recently and Jim wasn’t sure he was ready to adopt again. But Eric, a manager at Cat Depot—a local feline adoption center in Sarasota, Florida—introduced him to Millie, and they both knew they’d found someone special.

Millie’s story is one of resilience and affection. Found wandering outdoors, sadly abandoned right before Hurricane Milton, Millie was taken by a caring family before being brought to Cat Depot. Her sweet nature quickly captured Jim’s heart. Now, three months later, she’s fully settled into her new home and role as Jim’s personal Catalyst Customer Support Assistant!

Millie is affectionate, playful, and a quick learner. She's very food-motivated, especially enjoying her daily meals of wet food and eagerly accepting treats. When she’s ready to play, Millie fetches her favorite toys and drops them at Jim’s feet. While Jim works from home, Millie is his constant companion, usually curled up near his feet, though she will jump on his lap when she needs a little extra attention.

Jim and Millie Kathryn are proud members of our Catalyst family. Have questions about Catalyst Pet litter? They are here to assist!

Why You Should Leave Clay Litter in the Dust
